Kristi Leviner was born in Greenville, North
Carolina, but moved to South Carolina early
in life.

regularly provides counseling for people with

Kristi began her Marital Art training in 1989 with Hanshi Ridgeley Abele (www.shurite.com)
in Shuri-Ryu Karatedo, receiving her first Dan (Black Belt) after several years of study.

A fan of the Martial Arts, she attended many seminars and symposiums, where she met
Hanshi Steven Roensch (www.americanbudokaiinternational.org/Director.html) and Sifu
LaVonne Martin (www.martinacademy.com), who kindled her passion for Jui-Jitsu and,
especially, Kali.

She trained Jui-Jitsu for a while under Tashi Troy Price and Shihan Tom Ryan (www.
danzanryujujitsu.com), which is where she met Sifu/Guro/Sensei Mark Mills. She trained
with Sifu Mills both at Columbia Martial Arts Training Center (the old school) and at
Hanshi Ridgeley Abele’s Dojo under Tashi Price. It is with Sifu Mark Mills that Kristi
began concentrated on her training in Kali, JKD, Thai Kick Boxing, and Submission
Grappling.

Sensei Leviner instructs the Kali, Tiny Dragon, Future Dragon, Junior
Dragon, and XTreme Teen classes, and assists with other classes
whenever needed. And with her flashy knife handling, she proves
exciting at demonstrations.

Kristi believes that Columbia Martial Arts and Fitness is the ultimate
training facility. She has been a constant support, to whom Sifu Mills
